WATER SAVING HABITS MAINTAINED
Melbourne’s water storages are today 25 billion litres higher than at the same time last year, at 34.6% (612,760 million litres) full.
The storages fell 9,201 million litres (0.52%) through the week. At the same time last year, water storages were 33.1% (587,575 million litres) full.
Despite the recent hot and dry weather, consumption figures this week (1,205 million litres per day) were in line with the five year autumn daily average of 1,207 million litres per day.
The figures show Melburnian’s are continuing to do a great job saving water.
Stage 3a restrictions remain in place until June 30.
Further details on water restrictions are available by visiting the Our Water Our Future website or by contacting the government water retailers.
