STORAGES INCREASE TO 30.6%
Melbourne’s storages are now 30.6% (542,355 million litres) full, having increased 0.26% during the week. This is almost 92 billion litres below the same time last year, when storages were at 35.8%.
An average of about 15mm rain fell over the catchments since last Thursday.
Melbourne’s average daily water consumption this week was 953 million litres per day, compared with the winter average of 1,108 litres per day in the 1990s.
