Yarra River basin Stream Flow Management Plans
The Minister for Water has approved Stream Flow Management Plans for:
The Plans set out the conditions of licence holders who take and use water from waterways or farm dams in the catchments. Melbourne Water will manage these licences in accordance with the Plans.
The Plans were prepared in consultation with local water users and key government agencies and environment group representatives and considered issues raised by public submissions.
The Plans consider the various uses of water in the catchments and promote long-term sustainability of waterways by balancing environmental water requirements with the need to divert water for agricultural, commercial and domestic and stock use.
